DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY
Day 1. Welcome to Meet Our Team / Travel to Horizontal Rocky Hills, in Middle Gobi
Today, we will start our first day trip driving to the Granit Rocky Hills. This 1750m high basalt and granite rock formation is beautifully located in the middle of a vast steppe. This rock mountain contains the ruins of a Buddhist meditation temple that dates back to the 17th century. Overnight will spend an open air in a tent.
Day 2. Explore Flaming Red Cliffs
After morning breakfast, we will set off again by 4WD and drive to the Flaming Red Cliffs at Bayanzag. This area is famous as the American explorer and naturalist, Roy Chapman Andrews, led as series of dinosaur expeditions here in the 1920s. The dinosaur skeletons discovered during his expeditions are now kept in the Natural History Museum of America. Enjoy the sunrise and sunset on the wide steppe. Overnight will stay at a tourist Ger camp.
Day 3. Discover Khongor Sand Dunes
Today, we will drive deep into the Gobi desert to the Khongor Sand Dunes-known as the Singing Sand dunes. We will see the marvelous Sand dunes, some of the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia that stretches for an extraordinary 180km long, 3-20km wide and more than 300m high. Enjoy the Mongolian starry night sky. Overnight will stay at a nomadic family in Ger.
Day 4. Camel Riding Trip / Climb & Enjoy Sunset on the largest Sand Dunes in the Gobi
After a relaxing morning you will have camel riding to the Sand Dunes. The camel ride will take you along the amazing desert scenery with a stony and sandy landscape. Riding camels is relatively easy with their gentle gait and slow steady pace. In the evening climbing and walk up to the top of the dunes during the sunset giving you an amazing panoramic view of the surrounding desert. Overnight will stay at the same nomadic family for another night in Ger.
Day 5. Travel to Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park / Hiking through the Yol Vulture Valley
After relaxing morning breakfast, we start driving to the majestic Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park, Yol Vulture Valley where we will enjoy the incredible scenery one of the most beautiful regions in the Gobi area. Afternoon, we will explore and hike through the eastern valley of the National Park about 7.6kms. The valley is an unusual narrow canyon with a stream that flows through the Eastern Beauty Mountains. In the winter, the stream freezes several km into the gorge. Some areas of the valley are continually sheltered from the hot sun. The large ice field that gradually melts away during the summer months. Overnight will stay at a nomadic family in Ger.
Day 6. Explore White Cliffs
After morning breakfast, we will travel to White Cliffs, which we will be entering into the South Gobi, one of the wonderful steppes with ancient, magnificent bright colorful cliffs. Overnight will spend an open air in a tent.
Day 7. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar and on the way enjoy our lunch, ending our journey.
